About On My Menubar

On My Menubar is a curated directory of Mac menu bar apps. It exists because the menu bar is scarce screen real estate, and most “best of” lists mix paid placements with apps that barely live there.

I run this site independently. Listings are written in the third person from hands-on use on Apple silicon Macs, not from press kits. When an app is limited, slow, or a worse fit than an alternative, that goes in the write-up.

What gets listed

• The app actually lives in the macOS menu bar, or is primarily used from it
• It does one job well enough to earn a slot next to the clock
• Pricing, permissions, and known limitations are stated plainly

What this is not

This is not an app store, an affiliate mill, or a launch-week coverage farm. A listing is an editorial description, not an endorsement, and outbound links go to the developer’s site or store page.
