DocTabs adds a persistent tab bar to Microsoft Office for Mac that consolidates all open Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents into a single interface. The tab bar appears automatically when working in any of the three supported applications and can be pinned to remain visible across apps.
Each open document appears as a labeled tab. Clicking a tab brings that file to the front immediately. Documents can be reordered via drag-and-drop, and files with identical names display their paths for disambiguation. A Finder integration button opens the file’s location directly.
The menu bar control collapses the tab bar when not needed. The application operates entirely on-device and does not read file contents—only filenames and window state are used.
