Nowline surfaces a single, high-value piece of information in the menu bar: the name of the current calendar block and how much time is left in it. This addresses a common context-switching problem during meetings and time-blocked work sessions where checking the time requires opening Calendar.
The app integrates with Calendar.app and reads events from all connected calendar sources, including iCloud and Google Calendar. Overlapping events are handled intelligently, prioritizing the most relevant block. Calendar data remains on-device and never leaves the Mac.
The optional animated cat mascot changes posture and animation based on how much time remains in the current event—sitting calmly with plenty of time, washing, and running when time is nearly up. Customization options include calendar selection, time display format, and motion preferences for the mascot.
